Se ne parlato recentemente su sci.math.num-analysis
Non ricordo se c' la versione Unix, ma di sicuro c' quella Linux.

Because Fortran 95 has array operations, I am able to write
number-crunching programs in it about as quickly as with Python and
Numeric -- and the Fortran programs run much faster. The extra code
you write to declare variables is repaid by having fewer run-time
errors than with a scripting language and by having a
better-documented program. Fortran 95 is free for Linux in the form of
g95 -- see http://www.g95.org . The compiler is still under
development, but it is already usable. The F subset of Fortran 95 is
free for Windows and Linux -- see http://www.fortran.com/F/index.html
==================
F is a subset of Fortran 95, and of the many free tutorials at
http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Programming/Languages/Fortran/Tutorials/Fortra
n_90_and_95/
can be used to learn it, with the caveat that some legal Fortran 90 or 95
is not legal F. The F tutorial by Moniot in PDF format can be purchased for
$10 from http://www.fortran.com .

Per chi usa winzozz c' pure la versione con i tool Mingw (15 MB di download
tutto compreso).

che chiede: qualcuno lo usa? Come ci si trova?
